Willie Revillame Breaks Silence on Senate Loss and Calls It a Win

Willie Revillame Says He Still Won Despite Losing the Senate Race

WILLIE REVILLAME – Veteran television host Willie Revillame may have lost his bid for a Senate seat, but the veteran TV host believes the experience was far from a defeat.

Willie Revillame does not see his loss in the recent national elections as a failure or a setback. Instead, he views the experience as a meaningful chapter in his life, one that reaffirmed his personal values and sense of purpose.

After a long hiatus, Revillame faced members of the entertainment media once again during the launch of his new game show, “Wilyonaryo.” The event marked his first major public appearance following the May 2025 elections, where he ran for senator but failed to secure a seat.

When asked about his unsuccessful bid, Willie was candid and reflective. “Siguro hindi talaga yun para sa akin. Actually yung pagkatalo ko, para sa akin nanalo pa ko, e. Isipin n’yo kung nandu’n ako ngayon paano, ano’ng gagawin ko?” he said, explaining that he believes everything happens for a reason.

He went on to express his views on politics and public service, questioning the realities of political alliances. “Kanino ako sasama, kanino ako kakampi? So, for me ang politika hindi dapat politika, e, public servant ka dapat,” he shared, stressing that public service should rise above partisan loyalty.

Revillame emphasised that his intention in running was never about siding with political groups. “Tumakbo ako para magserbisyo sa bayan, sa mga tao. Hindi ako tumakbo para kampihan ko sila,” he said, referring to the different political parties.

He admitted that navigating political divisions would have been difficult had he won. “Kung nasa Senado ako, tapos kakampihan ko ang partidong ito tapos galit sa akin yung kabila, napakahirap. Kung tatakbo ako, para sa mga mahihirap na Pilipino para makagawa ng batas,” he added.

Willie also recalled admitting during interviews that he was unfamiliar with many existing laws, saying it was an honest acknowledgment of his desire to learn. “Kasi napakarami nang ginawang batas ng magagaling na senador, ano pa ba yung mga hindi nagagawa?” he said, before identifying education, health, poverty alleviation, employment, and quality of life as key priorities.

When asked if he had any regrets in life or his career, Revillame was firm. “Wala. Kasi sobrang blessed ‘ko,” he said, noting that while mistakes are inevitable, they serve as lessons. He underscored that true happiness comes not from wealth, but from health and family.

“So, wala akong regrets talaga sa buhay… I’m so blessed, sobra!” he concluded, while admitting that his only real remorse involved moments when his words or actions may have hurt others.
