Businessman Atong Ang faces an arrest warrant.
A Laguna court has issued an arrest warrant against businessman Atong Ang for his alleged involvement in the missing sabungeros case.
In the case of the missing sabungeros or cockfight enthusiasts, businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang and 21 others are facing charges after the Department of Justice (DOJ) found prima facie evidence with reasonable certainty of conviction to charge these individuals.

In recent developments, Laguna courts have issued an arrest warrant order against Ang and several others. The businessman faces kidnapping with homicide and kidnapping cases before three Regional Trial Courts: Lipa City in Batangas and Sta. Cruz and San Pablo in Laguna.
The arrest warrant for his non-bailable kidnapping with homicide case was issued by the Sta. Cruz, Laguna RTC Branch 26. The Philippine National Police said that dedicated PNP teams are already en route to carry out the warrant of arrest.
PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said, “We have certain procedures in implementing warrant of arrest, hindi lang warrant of arrest, at different police operations. This is an implementation of warrant arrest, mayroon tayong procedure, and the PNP personnel, all PNP personnel involved are, of course, mandated na sundin ito. At gagawin nila ang lahat para ma-implement.”
As of the latest, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has arrested 15 co-accused of Ang. In a press conference on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, CIDG Director Major General Robert Alexander Morico II disclosed that 10 of those arrested were police officers, while six were civilians.
