Monching Gutierrez was asked about Jericho Rosales
Seasoned actor Monching Gutierrez shared his thoughts on A-list actor Jericho Rosales as the boyfriend of his daughter, actress Janine Gutierrez.
The romance between Janine and Jericho bloomed when they got closer while they were working on the TV series Lavender Fields in 2024. It was announced last year that the couple will work together in a new series titled The Accused.
They were seen together at various events and became more open about posting each other on their social media pages when they went public with their relationship.
Eventually, Jericho Rosales was seen spending time with Janine Gutierrez’s family, and there was also a time when the actress met the actor’s son, Santino.
In a recent interview, Monching Gutierrez was asked about the boyfriend of his daughter, based on the article in Bandera.
The seasoned actor said that he is happy for Janine and Jericho. He also said that as long as his daughter is happy, this is fine with him.
“Ako kasi basta happy siya, happy ako. Ganoon lang ako. Walang akong ‘okay si ganito,’ ‘okay si ganoon,’” he said. Monching also shared that their family just came home from a vacation. However, he did not directly answer when he was asked if Jericho was with them. He just said, “Kumpleto kaming lahat.”
The seasoned actor also said that he has nothing negative to say about Jericho. He said that he knows that his daughter’s boyfriend is a good person.
“Mabait naman si Echo. Wala akong masabing not good about him. Sa pagkakakilala ko sa kaniya at saka sa panahon na lagi din kaming magkasama,” Monching said.
He also said that the couple is very happy and that he is happy for them. The seasoned actor added that he is open to doing a project with Jericho if given a chance.
