3 Drunk Friends Push Their Car to Get Home to Comply to the Law
Three drunk friends choose to push their car to get home to follow the anti-drunk driving law in China.
Three individuals chose an unusual but responsible way to get home after a night of drinking. Instead of driving under the influence, they decided to push their car all the way home to avoid breaking the law and causing possible accidents.
The incident happened in Hubei Province in China, where strict rules against drunk driving are strongly enforced. Knowing that driving while intoxicated is dangerous and illegal, the three friends agreed not to start the engine.

The intoxicated indivuals turned the car off and worked together to move it safely. One of them stood by the driver’s door and held the steering wheel to guide the car. The other two stayed behind, pushing with effort as the car slowly rolled forward.
Despite the difficulty, they continued without giving up. Their slow journey covered almost 500 meters until they finally reached a nearby repair shop where they could safely leave the vehicle.
Their actions were captured on CCTV cameras in the area. When the video spread online, many people praised the trio for being responsible and thinking of public safety. Viewers admired how they chose a safer option rather than risking their lives and the lives of others on the road.

However, police officers still issued them a fine. While they avoided a drunk driving case, they violated Article 31 of China’s Road Traffic Safety Law. This rule states that people are not allowed to use public roads for activities unrelated to traffic without proper permission.
Authorities explained that pushing a car on the road, even at a slow pace, takes up space and can still cause safety risks for other motorists.
The social media users expressed their reactions to the incident:
