SHARON CUNETA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta welcomed her 60th birthday with laughter, gratitude, and a refreshing sense of humor that quickly caught the attention of fans.

Sharon Cuneta is marking a new chapter in her life with joy, gratitude, and a sense of humor as she officially turns 60. The iconic actress-singer welcomed the milestone with excitement, particularly joking about one of the perks that come with it, becoming a senior citizen.

Cuneta, who celebrated her 60th birthday on Jan. 6, was honored with a grand birthday tribute on “ASAP” last Sunday. During the celebration, she openly shared her delight about finally being eligible for senior discounts, prompting laughter and cheers from the audience.

“Sixty na ako! Senior na ako! May discount na ako,” the megastar quipped, proving that age is something she embraces with humor and confidence.

Beyond the lighthearted moment, Cuneta also used the occasion to express a more meaningful wish, one that resonated deeply with many viewers. Her statement appeared to reflect her thoughts on recent national issues, particularly those involving corruption.

“May we receive back what was taken from us. That’s one of my wishes,” she said, earning loud applause. Reflecting on her journey, she added, “After all I’ve been through and having arrived at this age, I think I have everything I could ever want in terms of love and support. I married the best husband in the world,” as she expressed gratitude to her friends and loyal supporters.

The musical tribute began with Jed Madela and Erik Santos performing “Pangarap na Bituin,” setting an emotional tone before Cuneta took the stage to sing Rupert Holmes’ “Terminal.” She was later joined by her closest friends in the industry, Martin Nievera, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, and Gary Valencian,o for a heartfelt performance of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.”

Julia Montes also joined Cuneta for Don McLean’s “Birthday Song,” while the celebration culminated in a touching duet of “The Promise” with her husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan. Their four children were present, along with friends and loved ones. Prerecorded messages from her friends and daughter KC Concepcion moved Cuneta to tears, especially when Concepcion said, “Thank you for being our heart, our home, and our biggest blessing. Thank you for 60 years of love, fun, and generosity. Mom, thank you for shaping me to be the woman I am today.”
