Vice Ganda had his proud moment
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda thanked his fans after winning the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 Best Actor Award.
Vice has received a lot of recognition throughout the years he spent in the entertainment industry, aside from the blockbuster earnings that his movies have acquired. He is known for his comedy movies during the holiday season.
For many years, he would have entries for the annual MMFF. Last year, his drama-comedy movie And The Breadwinner Is was a big hit.
For 2025, Vice Ganda opted to do the drama genre with award-winning actress Nadine Lustre. Previously, the comedian-host admitted that he was “nahihiya” to Nadine because he was conscious of how he would do the drama scenes in front of the drama actress.
With his hard work, Vice was able to deliver. He proved that he can do dramatic scenes and not just make people laugh. It was an emotional moment for him and his co-stars in the movie Call Me Mother, when his name was called as this year’s Best Actor.
In his speech, the It’s Showtime host was extra emotional when he expressed his apology to his longtime partner, Ion Perez. The comedian-host received a bunch of congratulatory messages from his colleagues and supporters.
After the awards night, Vice Ganda dedicated a post to his fans, his little ponies. He said that during the awards night, it was overwhelming, and he was not able to say thank you to his supporters.
He mentioned that his fans have been aspirinfor g this recognition for him and eventually, this became true. For him, this is their victory.
“Nalutang, nataranta, natulala hanggang sa nalasing nako kagabi kaya’t di na ko nakapagpasalamat sa inyo. MARAMING MARAMING SALAMAT MADLANG PEOPLE AND MY LITTLE PONIES!!!! Alam kong ginusto nyo to para sakin. At inilaban nyo ko. At alam kong masayang masaya kayo. WE won!” Vice Ganda wrote in his Facebook post.
