CARLA ABELLANA – What should have been a joyous family celebration took a surprising turn after Rey ‘PJ’ Abellana revealed he was not invited to his daughter Carla Abellana’s wedding.
Actor Rey “PJ” Abellana confirmed that he was not invited to the recent wedding of his daughter, actress Carla Abellana, a revelation that has since drawn public attention following the intimate ceremony held over the weekend.
Rey disclosed in a text message sent to PEP.ph columnist Gorgy Rula when asked whether he received an invitation to Carla’s wedding. The veteran actor gave a brief but direct response regarding his absence from the event. “No invite po. Good a.m.,” Rey replied.
Carla Abellana tied the knot with her high school sweetheart, Reginald Santos, in a private garden wedding held in Tagaytay last December 27. The ceremony was described as intimate, attended by close family members and friends, with the couple opting for a simple yet elegant celebration away from the public eye.
Despite not being part of the guest list, Rey was later asked to share a message for his daughter and her husband. His response was expressed in a solemn and reflective tone, hinting at concern for the newlyweds as they begin their married life. “I feel worried for them and I wish they will acknowledge the righteous ways of God to make them realize what is right and wrong for them. To avoid bad luck,” he said.
Photos from the wedding showed Carla wearing a simple gown paired with a wedding veil adorned with floral details. Her overall look reflected a minimalist and classic aesthetic. Reginald, on the other hand, wore a black and cream tuxedo as the couple exchanged vows against a scenic garden backdrop, highlighting the serene and romantic atmosphere of the occasion.
Carla Abellana is the daughter of Rey Abellana and Rea Reyes. Rea is the daughter of veteran actress Delia Razon, making Carla part of a well-known showbiz lineage. Carla was previously married to fellow actor Tom Rodriguez, a relationship that had also been widely followed by the public.
