Chocolate Lover Inc., a popular name among baking fans and dessert lovers, officially closes its doors today, Saturday (December 27, 2025).
For many customers, the announcement marks the end of an era filled with sweet treats, warm service, and countless memories that began more than three decades ago.
The owner, Annie Carmona-Lim, shared the news earlier through a heartfelt video message posted on December 25, 2025. In the video, long-time employees expressed their gratitude and said farewell to customers who supported the business for 36 years.
The message showed the strong bond between the staff and the people they served, making the moment even more emotional.
Chocolate Lover Inc. was more than just a store. It was a workplace that became a second home for many. Cashiers, administrators, managers, sales staff, repackers, delivery receivers, and even handymen all played a role in keeping the business running smoothly through the years.
Their dedication helped the company grow and remain trusted since it started supplying baking needs in 1989.
The closure was first announced in November. According to Lim, the decision was deeply personal. She shared that she is now retiring, and none of her children plan to continue running the business.
After careful thought, she chose to end operations with gratitude rather than let the company slowly fade.
Chocolate Lover Inc. is also known for its castle-like building along P. Tuazon in Cubao, which became a familiar landmark for bakers and dessert makers. With the closure, the physical store and most dessert offerings are now discontinued, and the iconic building is up for sale or rent.
Still, there is a small hint of sweetness ahead. Lim may continue making custom cookies, macarons, and cookie cakes from home. Customers are encouraged to follow their Facebook page for future updates.
