A male customer shared his honest experience after eating at a well-known burger store again after many years. 

Recently, Rex Raymond Torrecampo, shared his honest experience after eating at a well-known burger store again after a few decades. The post quickly went viral and garnered mixed reactions from the online community.  

According to him, it had been decades since he last ate at the burger chain, so returning felt like a fresh and unfamiliar experience. He decided to drop by in the morning since nearby schools were on vacation, making the place less crowded.

Hungry and curious, he went inside and tried their digital ordering system for the first time. 

The customer admitted feeling confused while using the self-order kiosk. What he thought was a simple cheeseburger order turned into a meal with double portions of everything due to the add-on options that appeared on the screen. 

Only when he reached the cashier did he realize what had happened. Instead of canceling, he decided to go through with it and treat himself, though he still felt other fast-food chains had more user-friendly systems.

He waited nearly 15 minutes for his food even though the store was not busy, aside from delivery riders who were served first. While he understood that new stores can be slow, he felt the waiting time was noticeable. 

The burger he received was messy because of the double fillings. He said it tasted good but personally preferred burgers from other brands. The pickles, however, stood out in a negative way and reminded him of unpleasant childhood medicine. 

Still, he felt disappointed that plastic utensils were used despite the restaurant’s premium pricing.

It’s been decades since I last ate at a Wendy’s store so sabihin pa, it was like a virginal experience all over again kahapon. Dumaan na ako dati kaya lang, puno kasi may pasok pa ang La Salle. 

Kahapon, since bakasyon na ang La Salle, maluwag na sa umaga. So pasok ako since medyo nag-aalburuto na rin ang mga alaga kong bulate. 

Medyo nabudol ako sa digital ordering system nila. I wanted a cheeseburger and after tapping the option, immediately popped up options for add-ons. Since first timer ako, akala ko bare yung cheeseburger at kelangang mag-add on ng garnish for a price. Medyo confusing ang system if you’re using it for the first time. 

Pagdating ko sa cashier, that was when I realized I ordered double of everything. Thought to myself, sige na, go na lang at minsan lang. But Jollibee’s is still the most user-friendly of the digital systems. 

I waited almost a quarter of an hour for my order to arrive. Slow yan kasi konti lang ang customers — although in fairness may ilang Grab riders na binigyan ahead of me. Sige lang, new stores rather tend to be slow kasi di pa streamlined sa loob. Pero kung sa Jollibee o sa McDo yun, nagreklamo na ako. 

The burger, since double of everything, was messy to eat. Masarap? Oo naman pero IMO Burger King’s is tastier. The pickles also tasted criminal. I was reminded of this pampurga that I would throw a tantrum about nung bata ako pag paiinumin ako ng nanay ko. It tasted toxic! 

It was the macaroni salad that made my day. Obkors, bata pa ako peyborit ko na talaga ang macaroni salad but to have it served with greens, raisins and gulaman was innovative. Absolutely enjoyed it. 

One would think, for a reasonably pricey brand, na food would be served with metal spoons and forks. Kaya lang dito, plastic and that was something of a downer. Di bagay sa pagkain. 

May young couple nga pala near the door na completely oblivious of other customers, at yung babae pa ang talagang hormonal. Magpi-PM na sana ako sa kakilala ko sa La Salle kung di na uso ang PDA sa kanila ngayon, kaya lang pagkuha ko ng order at lumipat ako sa likod nila, nakita ko sa lanyard, ibang school pala. Yang mga ganyan ang sinasabihan ng mga Kano ng get a room already.
