Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo received overwhelming support for their MMFF 2025 movie
Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban was emotional before the screening of her and Zanjoe Marudo’s movie UnMarry began on December 20 at Trinoma Cinema 6, in Quezon City.
This movie is not just Angelica’s comeback movie but also her return to the Metro Manila Film Festival. Her last MMFF movie, Love or Money in 2021 with Kapamilya primetime action star Coco Martin.
Previously, Angelica expressed that she was excited to have her onscreen reunion with her close friend Zanjoe. The two have been friends for many years already, and it was so much fun for them to work together.
During the premiere night of UnMarry, Angelica Panganiban could not help but be emotional, based on the article in Bandera.
First, she greeted everyone she saw inside the theater and expressed her gratitude because, despite the heavy rain and traffic, Cinema 6 was still a full house.
“Good evening everyone, ngayon pa lang Merry Christmas, maraming-maraming salamat for being here (garalgal na ang boses) thank you (hiyawan ang lahat)!” the actress said.
Her co-star, award-winning actress Eugene Domingo, hugged her to calm her down and wiped her tears.
“Thank you everybody, thank you for being here, congratulations to our producers (Quantum Films at Cineko Productions), to our creative team and to Angelica, we’re here for you, we love you (and) our families and friends, thank you and have a lovely time, thank you,” Angelica expressed.
Zanjoe also thanked everyone who showed support for their movie, especially their friends and family, as well as their colleagues in the entertainment industry.
“Wala pa akong opinyon sa pelikula dahil hindi ko pa napapanood pero naniniwala ako sa napakahusay na script na pagkakasulat ni Direk Chris Martinez at siyempre sa direksyon ni Jeffrey Jeturian,” the actor said.
Zanjoe also said that if he was not mistaken, the last movie of the director before this was Ekstra, featuring Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos, and this was the reason why he felt pressured doing a movie with Direk Chris.
Angelica Panganiban’s husband, Gregg Homan, was also present during the premiere night, and he was so proud of his wife’s movie comeback.
