ABS-CBN has settled issues with TV5 and signed a new deal.
ABS-CBN TV5 ISSUE – Lopez-led corporation settled the dispute and announced a licensing deal with Manny Villar’s ALLTV.
In a previous article, a statement from TV5 about ABS-CBN delaying payment and not heeding what was stated in the agreement created a loud buzz online. TV5 formally demanded the payment of ₱946.16 million as of October 30, 2025, emphasizing ABS-CBN’s failure to remit the amount. Manny Pangilinan’s company accused the Lopez-led corporation that the supposed “payment-plan discussions” were merely a tactic to stall the settlement.

Recently, weeks after it surfaced online, a disclosure was made public, stating that ABS-CBN has “settled its obligations with TV5/MediaQuest,” with both parties coming to an amicable agreement.
In the same disclosure, ABS-CBN said it has signed a licensing agreement with Manny Villar’s Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS). AMBS is the owner and operator of ALLTV Network, and starting January 2, 2026, some shows of ABS-CBN will be airing in their channel.
“Starting on this date, ALLTV audiences will be able to watch their favorite ABS-CBN shows like FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Roja, What Lies Beneath, It’s Showtime, ASAP, TV Patrol, and more. Prime ABS-CBN programs will continue to be available on A2Z, with It’s Showtime and Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 airing on GMA,” ABS-CBN stated.
As much as we all know, ALLTV is now the one handling ABS-CBN’s former free tv Channel 2 after the former network failed to secure a new franchise. Among those who voted against the renewal was Camille Villar, who was a congressman back then and now a senator.
ABS-CBN expressed its gratitude to Pangilinan and TV5 for giving several ABS-CBN programs a home since 2021. FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, The Iron Heart, Dirty Linen, Everybody Sing, and ASAP Natin ‘To were some of the programs that TV5 aired.
