Is it true that Kim Chiu was just forced to file a case against Lakam Chiu?
A speculation surfaced about the decision of Kapamilya actress-host Kim Chiu to file a case against her sister Lakam Chiu.
Showbiz fans knew about Kim and Lakam’s sisterhood. They were known as sisters with a strong bond and very supportive of each other. However, their closeness was challenged when a conflict arose between them.
Kim surprised a lot of her fans when she filed a qualified theft complaint against Lakam. The actress opted not to speak about what happened.
However, speculations surfaced that Lakam Chiu was hooked on gambling to the point of spending Kim Chiu’s millions of pesos. Allegations also surfaced that the older Chiu sold a condominium unit of the actress without her knowing about this.
Just recently, another speculation surfaced. It was said that Kim was just urged by the circumstances to file a complaint against her sister.
Based on the article in Bandera, during a recent episode of Showbiz Now Na, veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin said that what allegedly Lakam spent was not Kim’s money alone.
“Gusto man daw ni Kim Chiu na patawarin na ang ate niya ay hindi niya magawa talaga dahil hindi pala niya solo ang mga negosyo, may mga investors pala sila,” Cristy said.
Her co-host, Romel Chika, added that if it were just Kim, it would be easy for her to forgive and get the money back, but since there were other people, the actress had to come up with that decision.
“Oo, may mga kasosyo pala, natural ‘yung mga kasosyo nag-aalala, ‘paano na ‘yung aming ipinuhunan? Paano na ‘yung pera namin?’ Natural wala namang maipambabalik si Kim Chiu na ganu’n kalaking halaga na daang milyon daw ang involved dito,” the veteran showbiz insider said.
Cristy added that with this kind of situation, the best thing that Kim could do is to file a case against Lakam. With this, Romel said that this was the apparent reason why the actress was emotional when she filed the case.
