The issue between Kim Chiu and her sister shocked many fans
Lakam Chiu, the sister of Kapamilya actress-host Kim Chiu, is allegedly a VIP client in a popular casino.
The public knew that Kim and her Ate Lakam had a strong bond. Lakam was like a second mom to Kim. They would have their bondings together, and they were vocal about the love and care they had for each other.
However, this completely changed when Kim decided to file a qualified theft complaint against Lakam. Allegations surfaced that the latter got hooked on gambling and spent hundreds of millions from Kim’s savings.

Based on the article in PEP, this issue was not new to the writers of the entertainment news outlet. It was because a report was released, and it was about the gambling addiction of a famous showbiz personality’s sister. This served as a warning to the unnamed actress.
The writers learned about Lakam’s frequent visits to a popular casino in February 2025. A former casino employee asked the writers if Lakam was really Kim’s manager because this was how the actress’s sister introduced herself.
The former casino employee was told that it is known in the entertainment industry in the Philippines that Star Magic, the Kapamilya talent management company, is the one handling Kim’s career and not her sister Lakam.
It was also said that the former casino employee mentioned that Lakam was one of the casino’s VIP clients because the amount she gambled was said to be millions of pesos.

Although this issue was sensitive and could destroy the bond between the Chiu sisters, the entertainment news outlet decided to publish an article about this to warn Kim about her sister.
A blind item was released 10 months ago. It was said in the blind item that the sister of the celebrity spent P50 million on gambling. In August, netizens noticed that Kim and Lakam were no longer following each other on social media.
Meanwhile, some fans believed that the Feng Shui reading last year for Kim Chiu became a reality as she was told that she would experience betrayal and robbery.
