Paolo Contis had this message for his critics
Kapuso actor and host Paolo Contis answered his bashers who are criticizing his real-life role as a father.
Paolo now has three children. His first two daughters were with his ex-wife Lian Paz, named Xonia and Xalene. A few months ago, Paolo was able to reconnect with his daughters, following his reconciliation with Lian, with the help of the latter’s now-husband, John Cabahug.
Paolo’s third daughter is Summer, his child with his former partner LJ Reyes. When Paolo and LJ separated, the latter brought their daughter to the US, where she is now staying with her husband Philip Evangelista.
Paolo Contis‘s past romantic relationships and his relationship with his children had become a hot topic online and in showbiz circles. He had his fair share of bashers when issues surfaced.
In the 1st anniversary episode of the Kapuso online show Your Honor, Paolo shared his perspective on social media and how it influences public opinion on his personal life, based on the article in NewsKo.
“Meron akong nabasa nu’ng isang araw, alam naman ng mga tao, nakikita ko ‘yung mga anak ko, ‘di ba (sina Xonia at Xalene)? Sabi nu’ng isa, ‘Ayan, ‘yan ‘yung sinasabi namin. Dapat nagkikita kayo ng mga anak mo,'” the actor said.
Then, Paolo had this message to his critics. “Pakialam ko sa ‘yo! At feeling nila naayos ‘yung buhay ko dahil sa mga sinabi nila ‘di ba? No! Kailangan matuto ka lang sumala ng ganu’n. Na kung hindi mo kaya mag-sala, e, di huwag ka mag-post,” he stressed.
Paolo also shared that he has learned a lot now, especially when using social media, as he can really feel the toxicity it carries to the mental health of many people.
He said that it was a good thing that he grew up without social media, and he had the chance to be in the era when it had become widely used. However, the actor said that now, he has a wider perspective, and he has learned what to listen to.
