Female Student Allegedly Harassment by Elderly Vendor in Puerto Princesa, Palawan
A female student was traumatized after she allegedly harassed by an elderly man in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
On the morning of December 7, 2025, Armea Jaryll Lacsi, a Facebook user, shared a disturbing experience after she was allegedly harassed by an elderly man selling bracelets in Barangay San Miguel. The incident left her traumatized.
Lacsi said she was waiting for a friend outside a food place near a restaurant when the elderly man approached her. She noticed that the man had a disability in his right hand. At first, he offered his bracelets to several men nearby, but after being ignored, he turned his attention to her.
According to Lacsi, the man suddenly threw the bracelets onto her table and pushed her to buy them. She politely refused, but the man sat in front of her and continued insisting. Wanting the situation to end, she handed over the small amount of change she had, hoping he would leave.
However, the man stayed and began asking questions about her friends and making comments that made her uncomfortable and alarmed.
Feeling unsafe, Lacsi tried to go inside the establishment. The man stood up as well and blocked her path, forcing her to return to her seat. After several tense minutes, the man eventually left, but the fear and stress remained.
After the encounter, Lacsi said she experienced extreme anxiety, dizziness, and emotional distress. She described the incident as traumatizing and something she never expected to happen in broad daylight.
Armea posted a short video clip she managed to record during the incident to warn others, hoping to raise awareness, especially among women who often walk alone. Lacsi urged the public to stay alert and avoid engaging if they encounter the same man.
As of this writing, authorities have not released an official statement, and the identity of the elderly vendor remains unknown.
