Among the shows produced by the Kapamilya company aired in the Kapatid network included “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” “The Iron Heart,” “Dirty Linen,” “Everybody Sing,” and “ASAP Natin ‘To.”

According to a report, TV5 accused the content-producing company of “willful, fraudulent, and repeated refusal” to give TV5 its revenue share under their content supply agreement. This is despite the several demands and concessions made.

Based on the statement, TV5 stated:

“The demand was prompted by ABS-CBN’s commission of serious breaches in relation to its contractual obligations, particularly its willful failure, despite repeated demands, to remit TV5’s rightful share of collected revenues pursuant to Section 7.5 of the Agreement.”

TV5 formally demanded payment of ₱946.16 million as of October 30, 2025, and stressed ABS-CBN’s non-remittance. Moreover, TV5 alleged that the “payment-plan discussions” were nothing more than a “ploy to delay.”

“When we were finalizing the terms of the settlement agreement and payment plan, we received an email from ABS-CBN stating that you cannot comply with the payment schedule that we were discussing. Furthermore, there is no indication of any future payments,” TV5 said based on the report.

Without cash and the assurance of remittance, TV5 was accordingly left with no choice but to shoulder programming and operational costs. In the letter, Kapamilya company’s “willful, fraudulent, and repeated refusal” to remit the network’s rightful revenue share prompted TV5 to terminate the agreement, effective January 2, 2026.

The network has also instructed ABS-CBN to immediately begin dismantling their joint operations as part of the exit process.
