Rufa Mae Quinto On Spending Holidays In PH After 10 Years

Rufa Mae Quinto talked about her holiday plans

Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto happily announced that she will be celebrating Christmas in the Philippines this year, after 10 years.

Rufa Mae went through a tough time this year. Her husband, Trevor Magallanes, passed away in his home in the US. It was devastating for the comedienne since she was not there, and they went through a marital problem.

Rufa Mae went back to the Philippines after her husband’s funeral and continued her showbiz career. In a recent statement, based on the article Bandera, the comedienne shared that she will be spending the holidays in the Philippines.

For the past 10 years, she has been spending this season with her family abroad.

“Dito muna sa Pinas. For 10 years, first time. Anak ko, first time niya at all sa Philippines. At least buong buhay ko dito, siya hindi. Before I met my husband, during Christmas, I really left because that was my vacation. So now, I’m excited too,” Rufa Mae said.

This is the reason why she is excited, because she will get to experience the joy of a Filipino Christmas again.

Rufa Mae also admitted that they almost considered going to the US for the holidays, but they had second thoughts because they might be even more sad because this is their first Christmas without Trevor.

Setting the holiday mood, the comedienne released a collab Christmas song titled “Ho Ho Ho,” with beauty queen-singer Dia Mate.

Rufa Mae also has something exciting for 2025. She will have a reunion project with Director Joyce Bernal for an upcoming comedy film.

Meanwhile, Rufa Mae Quinto garnered laughs and admiration when she channeled Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda in her performance in Your Face Sounds Familiar last October. She previously said that this show helped her in healing her after a heartbreak. This was one of her major projects after her husband’s death.
