Male Model “Ariel” reacted to the statement made by director Darryl Yap following the “rude” allegation.

A screenshot of a private conversation was shared by a netizen on social media. In the conversation, it can be seen that Direk Darryl asked the model about his age and height. The initial answer of the model was a question about why he was being asked about that.

Direk Darryl replied, “Ay bawal malaman?” but the male model answered the question. The next thing that the male model did was block the director.

Several netizens commented that the way that Direk Darryl Yap asked for the personal information was “rude.” In a Facebook post, the controversial filmmaker shared a “mocking” formal inquiry regarding the model’s age and height.

In the caption of his post, he shared that as part of sending set cards and asking talent coordinators for recommendations, being asked about age and height is just normal. The director also slammed the model for allegedly saying that this was not for clout, but he still posted about this.

A netizen posted on Reddit the male model’s response to Darryl Yap’s post. “Ariel” said that he was unsure if the FB account that sent him that message really belonged to Direk Darryl. The male model said that the director’s first message seemed to indicate that he was already treating him like a “tauhan.”

“Ariel” also said that the director sent the message early in the morning, and he asked “bakit po?” because he had been receiving indecent proposals. By doing that, “Ariel” said that he is guarding himself against posers and scammers.

The male model also stressed that people who know him would attest that he is not a rude person. On the other hand, “Ariel” said “salamat” because Direk Darryl noticed him.

In a Facebook post, “Ariel” said that it has been his dream to be in the entertainment industry, but he is willing to find other opportunities if his respect and good manners are gone. He also said that it was not about the question regarding his age and height, but the fact that Direk Darryl Yap messaged early in the morning and got offended with his “bakit po?” reply.

“Eh, bastos ka eh. Bigla mokong inunfriend ano feelng mo gold ka para suyuin po kita?” the male model said.
