A netizen claimed this about Zaldy Co
Resigned Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co released a series of videos accusing political figures of being involved in corruption issues, and allegedly former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was behind this.
Co created a loud buzz when he released a series of videos narrating what was supposed to have happened in the corruption issues in the country. He mentioned several names and alleged, it was President Bongbong Marcos who ordered him about the budget insertion, as allegedly directed by former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Co continued to drag political figures into his claim about the corruption issue in the country, and the most recent one was Ilocos Norte first district representative Sandro Marcos.
A netizen on Reddit claimed that there was a very influential person behind Zaldy Co’s video statements. Netizen @Squirtle_004 on Reddit under r/ChikaPH claimed that Co and Arroyo are more connected than people knew.
The netizen also claimed that Co and Romualdez are still in communication and that it was a calculated move with the former dragging the latter.
“Pilit na ipalilihis kay BBM ang pagiging mastermind kahit initiative talaga ni Martin Romualdez ang 2023-25 national budget scheme,” the netizen claimed.
The netizen said that it was true that PBBM got angry with Romualdez in 2024, as what Cong. Toby Tiangco said. However, the netizen pointed out that it does not mean the head of the government is innocent.
“Kung sa networking pa kamo, “passive income” lang si BBM at mga galamay lang niya at si Romualdez ang nag papasimuno talaga kaya nasabi din ni Ping Lacson na hindi niya ma trace directly kay BBM at ginamit lang kuno pangalan niya. (half-truth pero aware siya),” the netizen said.
It was also said that Romualdez has a clean paper trail, but he will suffer if Co is arrested because he was present in almost all budget operations. “Mas yari si Romualdez kaysa kay BBM pag mahuli mismo si Zaldy Co,” the netizen claimed.
The netizen also showed this pecking order. “Co >Romualdez > Pangandaman > Marcos > Escudero > Grace Poe > Recto (pati si VATman sabit din daw dito) > the rest of the “Big 6” and Stella Quimbo (special mention kay Quimbo sa 2025 national budget specifically, napalaking parte daw niya lalo na sa mga ayuda).”
However, the netizen that the “tweety bird” who shared this had no idea about the issue in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) or the flood control. It was also alleged that Co attempted to reach out to the DDS camp, but Vice President Sara Duterte was supposed to be the hindrance.
“Baka mas ipapatay pa siya ni inday sayad kaysa sa mga Marcos mismo no ifs and buts pero si aling maliit ang nagpalabas sa hayop na yan at gumawa ng half-baked statements online. Madaming uploads pa yan si Co,” the netizen claimed.
The netizen also shared that the source did not answer when asked whether Zaldy Co’s video was AI or not.
