Customer & Vendor at Roxas Market Argued Over Fish w/ Alleged Missing Parts
A fish purchased at Roxas Public Market went viral after a customer claimed that the fish was allegedly reduced in size and missing some parts.
Recently, the Facebook page reported that a customer and a vendor argued over a fish that was allegedly reduced in size and missing some parts. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
The fish vendor, who chose not to reveal her name, strongly disagreed with the accusations. According to her, they did not remove anything from the customer’s purchase. She expressed disappointment that the complaint was immediately posted online rather than settled directly at the market.

For her, it would have been more appropriate if the buyer weighed the fish first to verify whether it was short of the expected amount before posting it publicly.
The vendor explained that the customer might have arranged the fish parts incorrectly when taking photos, making two of the pieces appear shorter than they actually were. She also shared that the viral post affected not just her personally but the entire marketplace, as many vendors were labeled unfairly by some people online.
The entrepreneur emphasized how important it was for her and her fellow sellers to protect the reputation of Roxas Public Market and their livelihood, as many netizens began calling them deceiving sellers.

On the other hand, the customer stood firm with their claim. They insisted that they prepared the fish properly and that the portions were indeed incomplete. Because of this, the buyer said they would not apologize to the vendor, believing that they did nothing wrong.
Many hoped that both sides could eventually settle the matter to avoid further damage to the market’s image and the livelihood of hardworking vendors.
