The NBI urged Zaldy Co and others tagged flood control mess to surrender.
After the arrest warrants were issued, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) urged Zaldy Co and others to turn themselves in.
“Ako ang nagsimula ng itong lahat, ako ang magtatapos. Asahan po ninyo na wala pang tigil itong aming ginagawa,” said President Bongbong Marcos in a previous article as he instructed the immediate arrest of former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co and other officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways, and directors of Sunwest Corp.

Aside from Co, these are the others facing warrants of arrest:
- Gerald Pacanan, DPWH Regional Director
- Gene Ryan Altea, DPWH Assistant Regional Director
- Ruben D.S. Santos, DPWH Assistant Regional Director
- Dominic Serrano, DPWH Chief, Construction Division; Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Chairperson
- Juliet Calvo, DPWH Chief, Maintenance Division
- Dennis Abagon, DPWH OIC-Chief, Quality Assurance and Hydrology Division;

Recently, after the issuance of the warrants, the National Bureau of Investigation urged Co and the others to surrender to the authorities, “while surrender is still a choice and not a consequence.”
They are already locating the subjects of the warrants. NBI Officer-in-Charge Angelito Magno stressed that in law, one has two choices: only comply or be compelled. The process would be lighter and easier if voluntary, and heavier when chased.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government also directed the Philippine National Police to implement the warrants properly and in full accordance with the law. DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla said that the PNP has already sent out tracker teams for the arrest of Co and the others tagged in the anomalous flood control projects.
