Ivan Ronquillo and Gina Lima passed away days apart. It was a tragic love story for the couple, as Ivan was initially accused of killing Gina, but it appeared there was no truth to this accusation.
Based on the initial report of the authorities after Lima’s autopsy, she had bruises on her thighs, but it was not the cause of her death. The findings stated, “The following initial findings are noted: Post-mortem findings: Presence of early marbling (post-mortem change), and post-mortem lividity mostly at the back. Autopsy finding: Presence of non-fatal external injuries; Presence of heart congestion, congested and edematous lungs.”
In a previous article, Ivan shared videos and photos with Gina, showing their relationship and expressing how much he loved her. Hours after sharing the posts, he was found dead in his home.
Based on the report, Ivan took his own life. He used a hose as a ligature. He was rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival. The bashing and negative comments while grieving and mourning took a toll on his mental health.
In a post, Ivan’s sister spoke on behalf of their family. They are facing a loss they never imagined, and it was because of the false accusations that her brother struggled alone and quietly.
In her latest post, Sheila Rodriguez called out Atty. Rowena Guanzon for extending her help to them and for using her platform as they chase after justice for Ivan. She expressed that while they are still grieving and still navigating their current situation, she assured the attorney that they will cooperate with the investigation.
She wrote, “At ito pa ang pinakamasakit, Sa huling bilin ng kapatid namin, na hindi namin alam yun na pala yung last Sinabi niya pa ‘Pag na-clear na pangalan ko, pananagutan ko lahat ng nambugbog sakin at nanira sakin sa social media.'”
She vowed that they would seek justice for Ivan and hold those people who wronged him and falsely accused him accountable.
