Freelance model Gina Lima was dead on arrival after being rushed to the hospital by her ex-boyfriend. Other sites claimed she was rushed by her alleged boyfriend. According to the rumors, Gina was beaten to death by her partner, and being accused of this crime is her alleged boyfriend named Ivan Cezar Ronquillo.
Based on the initial investigation, Lima and her ex-boyfriend were together when she was found unresponsive inside the man’s home in Quezon City. The day before she was found dead, they were together at her condominium.
The initial medical report listed cardio-respiratory distress as the cause of death. However, the authorities are also looking at the foul play angle. The Quezon City Police District–Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) is yet to find out the truth behind it, as they continue to investigate Lima’s death.
Meanwhile, who is Ivan Cezar Ronquillo?
Based on the reports, he is currently 24 years old and from Licab, Nueva Ecija, his hometown. Some posts suggested that he is the son of the former kagawad of Brgy. Apolonio Samson, Cezar M. Ronquillo.
He had already deactivated his social media pages, but some of his posts showed that he went to Far Eastern University for college. He also does modeling and participated in the Bench Body of Work casting call in August 2024.
His interests included fitness and cars.
Is he involved in Lima’s death? Based on SOCO operatives’ inspection of his residence, there were no signs of strangulation, smothering, or physical assault inside the room. The victim, however, had bruises on her thighs. An autopsy has already been ordered to determine whether physical harm played a role in her death.
