The death of Gina Lima is still being investigated by the authorities.
GINA LIMA DEATH – It was a tragic end for the Vivamax actress, and her death, surrounded by rumors, is still being investigated.
Vivamax actress Gina Lima was allegedly beaten to death by her boyfriend, Ivan Cezar Ronquillo. According to rumors, her boyfriend is involved in her death, but the authorities cannot confirm this yet, as they are still investigating the real cause of her death and are trying to find out whether there was any foul play or not.
Gina’s death created a buzz online, and in the recent reports, the Quezon City Police District–Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) is yet to find out the truth behind it.
Her death was sudden. According to Ronquillo’s claims, he woke up next to her already lifeless and was declared dead on arrival at the Quezon City General Hospital on Sunday, November 16.
QCPD CIDU chief PLt. Col. Edison Ouano said that on November 15, Lima and Ronquillo were drinking at the woman’s condominium. The following day, at around 8:00, they went to the man’s residence together.
“Natulog sila ng mga 12:00 ng tanghali. Tapos pagkagising ng ex-boyfriend, mga 8:00 ng gabi… pero unresponsive na,” Ouano said. Ronquillo also has a scratch, which, as per him, was caused by Lima’s friends when they confronted him at the hospital.
“’Yun ang allegation ng ex-boyfriend kasi may kalmot siya rito… Pero nagpa-medical na rin sila,” said Ouano, and added that the clips that circulated online will be used against the perpetrators.
The man’s residence was also checked, and there were no signs of strangulation, smothering, or physical assault inside the room. This is one of the reasons why Ronquillo could not be classified as the suspect yet.
If proven that the cause of death has no foul play and indicates a natural cause, the case may be closed.
