PAL Launches ‘FurPAL’, Allowing Small Dogs in Airplane Cabins Starting December 1

PAL to Allow Small Dogs in Airplane Cabins Starting December 1 , 2025

The Philippine Airlines (PAL) will allow passengers to bring their small pet dogs inside the airplane cabin starting December 1, 2025.

PAL launched its new service called “FurPAL,” with the aim to allow passengers to bring their small pet dogs inside the airplane cabin on select domestic flights.

FurPAL is the country’s first-ever in-cabin pet travel service, designed for fur parents who want to travel with their beloved pets. The service will initially be available on flights to Boracay, Bohol, and Siargao, three of the most popular vacation spots in the Philippines.

The base fare for the service is P2,500 per one-way flight, and reservations will start on November 12 through the PAL website.

Under this program, pets must be placed inside a secure carrier that fits under the seat in front of the passenger. PAL assured that the safety and comfort of both passengers and pets will be carefully prioritized throughout the journey.

“We are initially offering this service for small dogs, and can expand to other dog sizes and pet types depending on aviation security and safety regulations,” PAL vice president for marketing Alvin Miranda said in an advisory.

To book a FurPAL flight, travelers need to select a FurPAL-eligible destination and choose the FurPAL option under the Travel Boost page on PAL’s official website. Required documents include a FurPAL Declaration and Waiver Form, a Veterinary Health Certificate, and updated vaccination records of the pet.

As of this writing, the service is open only to small dogs, but there may be plans to include other dog sizes or even different types of pets in the future, depending on aviation safety regulations.
