A-list Bea Alonzo had this reaction when asked about the supposed “ninang” comment of celebrity Kris Aquino, which went viral.
Bea has chosen to be more private when it comes to her love life. Her past relationships were quite an open book because her partners before were celebrities.
She is now in a relationship with businessman Vincent Co, the Chief Operating Officer of supermarket chain Puregold. The actress just showed a few glimpses of her relationship status on social media and in interviews.
Last October, Kris Aquino greeted Bea Alonzo for her birthday. “Happy Birthday! My nephew is a close friend of the one you’re getting to know—your greetings reached me—thank you Bey… You are as beautiful as ever. Hoping to see you in 3 & a half months,” the celebrity said.
With this, speculations surfaced that the “3 and a half months” could be referring to the upcoming wedding of the A-list actress. There had been rumors that she and Vincent were already engaged and set to tie the knot anytime soon.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Abante, Bea was asked about that viral comment from Kris. “Uh, oo. Ang tagal ko ng hindi nakausap at nakita si Ate,” the A-list actress said.
Bea was asked if Kris would be her “ninang” or godmother. The actress’s answer was, “Saan? Saan ko siya Ninang.” She asked back as she seemed unaware of what she was asked about.
Bea Alonzo also said that she had no idea when she would be seeing Kris again. “Hindi ko pa alam, eh. Hindi pa kasi kami nagkakausap. Nung nakita ko ‘yung comment, I was just as surprised as you were. So, but uhm, I’m happy na alam mo yun? Na nagpo-post na siya ulit. Masaya ako to know that she’s getting better. And I can’t really wait to see her whenever that would be,” she said.
Meanwhile, the A-list actress also shared in a recent interview that her lifestyle does not change just because of her partner.
