P28,000 Worth of Pizza! Kuya Kim’s Touching Memory of Late Daughter Emman Atienza
EMMAN ATIENZA – In a heartbreaking yet inspiring story, Kuya Kim shared how his daughter Emman’s compassion and giving nature shone through—even in the simplest gestures like buying pizza for her friends.
Kapuso television host Kim Atienza became emotional once more as he delivered a heartfelt eulogy during the final night of the wake for his beloved daughter, 19-year-old content creator Emman Atienza. The service, held on November 4 at Heritage Park in Taguig City, gathered family, friends, and supporters who came together to celebrate and remember Emman’s life.
Attending the solemn occasion were Emman’s family members—her father, Kuya Kim, her mother Felicia Atienza, and her two siblings. Fighting back tears, Kuya Kim shared touching stories about his daughter, reflecting on their grief and the pain of losing her so suddenly.
“The family’s been going through a very tough few days. You give us comfort, our family and friends. But tonight is a night of thanksgiving. Tonight, I thank the Lord for what a beautiful life that He gave me,” he expressed.
“It’s a night of thanksgiving for the 19 beautiful years that He gave Emman to us. I have a beautiful wife, Feli, I have beautiful kids. I thank the Lord for that. Emman was such a beautiful, beautiful, kind person. She was so generous,” Kuya Kim continued. “She had no value for money. She’d ask money from Mama, ask money from Papa, ask money from Lolo… to give away.”
He fondly remembered Emman’s generosity, sharing a story about one Christmas when she gave away almost all the cash gifts she had received from her grandfather. “Emman told me, ‘Papa, I gave P30,000 to your driver. I gave P20,000 to Alicia. I gave P10,000 to our gardener.’ They were crying. I told her, ‘They cried because they’ve never received anything that big in their life. And I’m so proud of you,’” he recalled.
Kuya Kim also shared a moment that perfectly captured Emman’s kindhearted nature—when she spent P28,000 on pizza for her gym friends. “While I was having lens installed, it takes about 30 minutes, e, Emman said, ‘Papa, I wanna treat my friends in the gym, pizza.’ I said, ‘Okay!’ So she went to Domino’s Pizza. … The bill was P28,000. She bought 20 pizzas, around a hundred slices for all her friends in the gym. That’s my Emman. So generous!”
As he concluded his eulogy, Kuya Kim’s voice broke with emotion, expressing his love and gratitude. “Emman, I love you. Say hello to Jesus for me. Tonight is not a night of mourning. It’s a night of thanksgiving.”
