For years now, Angel Locsin has been in total absence – distant and not seen anywhere. Is she pregnant? Trying to lose weight? Planning to leave ABS-CBN and return to GMA? Separation from her husband, Neil Arce? These were just some of the speculations that have emerged before, out of the playful imagination and speculations of the people, because she has been missing in action, and they have missed her.
Locsin’s last teleserye was The General’s Daughter in 2019. In 2020, she hosted the program Iba Yan and made a cameo appearance in Four Sisters Before the Wedding. She took a social media hiatus in 2022 but briefly returned on January 13, 2025, after her X account was hacked.
Her husband has been giving fans updates about her, and previously, he expressed that while he is also a fan who misses her onscreen, what prevails is being her husband. He respects her decision to stay out of the limelight. He supports whatever would make her happy.
Recently, in an interview with MJ Marfori, Neil gave another update, and according to him, his wife has been staying really private, giving no hints that she would be up and out again in the public eye. He shared that she is also going out, but is really careful not to be seen by anyone.
One of the things she does now is watch PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0. His son, Joaquin Arce, who is her stepson, is among the new teen housemates of the reality show. Angel is supportive of Joaquin’s showbiz career and even hopes to work with him in the future.
