The country’s most talked-about Halloween party is The New Nocturnals, as it gathers famous personalities in the country, who wear their stunning costumes for the event. Recently, it made its grand return, that’s darker and with more grit.
From the creative forces behind The Opulence Ball, led by Ash Rye and Mond Gutierrez, The New Nocturnals returns with a reinvented experience set in a raw, electrifying, and fully immersive environment.
This year’s theme is the iconic Halloween characters, such as witches, ghosts, mummies, vampires, and the Day of the Dead. Those who attended graced the event with their scary yet fashionable costumes that push the boundaries of dark glamour and avant-garde artistry.
Among those who attended was Andrea Brillantes, who was stunning in her black cat costume. She was almost unrecognizable, but stunning and head-turning. During the red carpet interview, she explained her outfit. According to her, since the theme mainly focuses on being nocturnal, she chose this animal.
She added that a story from when she was younger also marked her. She shared, “Naalala ko ng bata ako, kwentuhan sa yaya ko when I was younger… Tumatak kwento niya, pag may nakita ka na itim na pusa, specifically a black cat, nagta-transform daw sila into a human. Ito yun.”
For the look, she found the whole process of it fun and challenging. It took them more than four hours to complete it.
In recent years, Brillantes has showcased a series of elaborate Halloween costumes. Since childhood, she has always enjoyed dressing up for the occasion, using it as a way to express her creativity and imagination.
