Bulusan LGU answered the recent remark made by Vice Ganda
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda had an intriguing statement about a school in “probinsya ni Heart Evangelista,” and this went viral.
Vice is known for his straightforward personality. His wit and spontaneity are loved by many fans. In a recent episode of the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, the comedian-host made a striking statement, and it has something to do with the corruption issue in the Philippines.
Vice recalled that he donated to a school in Sorsogon, which is known as the bailiwick of Heart Evangelista’s husband, Senator Chiz Escudero.
However, the noontime show host stressed that the school was “bulok,” and that he donated to that educational institution. Vice Ganda did not mention the exact place or the name of the school.
The comedian-host was criticized by Heart’s PA following that statement. In line with this issue, Bulusan Municipal Mayor Wennie Rafallo-Romano released a statement. She said that she wanted to make clarification on Vice’s statement regarding his donation to Bagacay Elementary School.
The Mayor stressed that Heart Evangelista has nothing to do with this issue. Romano explained that Vice’s first donation was P50,000 in December 2023. The next donation occurred in January 2024, valued at P17,360. These donations were used to fix windows, doors, and walls. Some portions were for comfort room tiles and internet bills for three months.
Mayor Romano said that they were thankful for Vice’s donation, but she stressed that even before he visited their school, there were already fixed classrooms from the Department of Education.
The head of Bulusan LGU also stressed that, although they were very thankful to Vice, the way he publicized his donation brought shame to their school.
“Nabalewala ang lahat ng pagsusumikap ng mga guro at pamunuan, mga magulang at mag-aaral, lokal na liders at ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon at iba pang stakeholders para mabigyan ng kaaya-ayang paaralan ang mga kabataan na angkop sa kakayahan ng komunidad,” the Mayor said to Vice Ganda.
