Kiko Pangilinan declared P26.7-M net worth in SALN
Senator Kiko Pangilinan should have included the assets of his wife, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, in his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), former Ombudsman Samuel Martires stated.
These past few days, Senators have been releasing their SALN. This was prompted by Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla’s issuance of a memo scrapping the restriction on access to the SALN of public officials.
On October 24, Pangilinan released his SALN declaring his P26.7 million net worth, as of June 30, 2025. It was stated that he has P20.886 million worth of personal properties, while his real properties were worth P5.852 million. He has no liabilities. It was also stated in his SALN that he has connections with Sweet Spring Country Farm Corp. and FRD Food and Spices Inc.

In a recent interview on Bilyonaryo News Channel’s “On Point,” based on the report from Abante News, Samuel Martires slammed Sen. Kiko Pangilinan for allegedly not including the assets and wealth of his wife, Sharon Cuneta.
The former Ombudsman said that it was stated in Republic Act No. 6713 that the assets of a government official’s wife must be included in her SALN.
“Why didn’t he let his wife, Sharon Cuneta, state her assets and liabilities in his SALN? Sinasama ‘yung income ng asawa sa kanilang declaration of assets and liabilities. Bakit siya hindi? Nakatingin ba siya sa ibang direksiyon? He’s the one violating (the law) actually, not me. Wala akong itinatago,” Martires said.
The former Ombudsman had this statement because of Pangilinan’s previous statement. Pangilinan called on Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla to first release to the public Martires’ SALN from his tenure at the Supreme Court until his resignation as Ombudsman in 2025.

In a recent post on X, formerly Twitter, the senator stated, “Baka sakali magkaalaman na bakit tutol ito sa paglabas ng SALN.”
Martires dismissed this. The former Ombudsman said that there was no issue for him to release his SALN. However, Martires said that Pangilinan went further, so that the truth will surface. He also challenged the Senator to prove if he has committed any anomaly and sue him.
Martires added that he is open to releasing his SALN on the condition that personal details like his address be removed.
