Michael V. Gets Candid About His Jitters Filming w/ Vice Ganda
MICHAEL V – It’s not every day you see two comedy giants collaborate — and Michael V. just revealed that filming alongside Vice Ganda had him feeling “ninenerbyos.”
Award-winning comedian Michael V. recently shared his thoughts about his much-anticipated team-up with Vice Ganda for the Bubble Gang 30th anniversary special, describing the experience as both thrilling and nerve-racking.
The milestone episode, which aired on Sunday, October 26, showcased a comedy sketch that united two of the country’s most celebrated humorists — Meme Vice and Direk Bitoy’s iconic character, Mr. Assimo. Their collaboration delivered a mix of sharp humor, chemistry, and energy that left audiences laughing throughout the segment.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Michael V. admitted that despite their long-standing careers, both he and Vice Ganda felt a bit anxious about working together for the first time.
“Pareho kaming kinakabahan,” Bitoy confessed. He added, “Pareho kaming ninenerbyos, siguro dahil nag-a-anticipate kami, hindi namin alam ‘yung how it is to work with each other. And siguro nung na-realize namin na pareho kami kinakabahan dun medyo lumuwag e nang konti na parang na-realize ko, ‘Oh! Tao lang pala siya’.”
The comedian went on to share that discovering they were both feeling the same emotions helped them relax during the shoot. “The same with na-realize niya ‘yun na tao lang din pala ako. Pareho kami ng emotions, pareho kami ng nararamdaman and mabuti na lang it turned out really-really well.”
Their sincere interaction and mutual respect shone through in the performance, making their sketch one of the highlights of the anniversary celebration.
Actress Chariz Solomon, who appeared alongside the two in the special, described the moment as inspiring, seeing both comedy legends still experiencing nerves despite their success.
“Ang ganda, it’s humbling kasi parang makita mo ang isang Vice Ganda at isang Michael V. na kinakabahan at nahihiya pa rin sa isa’t isa, ‘yung ganun. So, validating na kaba is always good and tao pa rin tayo at the end of the day,” she said.
She continued, “At lahat ay pinaghihirapan talaga nila, nakita n’yo naman hindi basta-basta ‘yung ginawa nila. Kung saan sila ngayon, ‘yung narating nila, pinaghirapan nila ‘yan. Tao sila.”
The partnership became a memorable and heartfelt moment in local comedy history, proving that even the most accomplished performers stay humble and dedicated to their craft.
