Arjo Atayde denied the ghost project allegation
Quezon City First District Representative Arjo Atayde asserted that there is no ghost project in his district.
Arjo is one of the politicians entangled in the flood control project anomaly. Contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya accused the actor-politician of receiving kickbacks from the anomalous projects.
The congressman strongly denied the accusation and stressed that she never had an encounter with the Discayas. However, photos of him with the couple circulated online.

In a recent visit to “flood control/drainage projects” in Barangays Bahay Toro, Del Monte, Project 6, and San Antonio, based on the article in Abante News, Arjo Atayde stressed, “Walang multo sa aking distrito!”
The actor-politician also stressed that there is no basis for the accusation against him.
He also said that there should just be proper coordination so that the information regarding these projects is certain. Arjo even mentioned that to see is to believe.
The visit that the congressman did was in connection with the previous report of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Quezon City 1st District Engineering Office.
It was stated in DPWH’s response to the congressman’s inquiry that the seven projects were verifiable. This meant that the projects were being done exactly where they were established.

Five of the seven projects have been confirmed to be completed, while the other two are stalled due to unresolved issues, including the suspended Mariblo Creek project.
The DPWH stated that all the Arjo’s projects are documented and have “photographic evidence.”
Among these projects were the 4 flood control projects in Culiat and Dario Creek in Brgy. Bahay Toro, rehabilitation of drainage on Road 3, Project 6, construction of a pumping station in West Riverside in Brgy. Del Monte and another flood control project in the San Francisco River, Brgy. San Antonio.
The congressman conducted this inspection to refute the allegations that there were ghost projects in District 1 of Quezon City.
