Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez expressed hope that something would happen in the corruption investigation.
Regine is one of the celebrities who openly expressed opinions regarding social and political issues. The famous singer was also active during the election campaign period.
She really supported vocally the candidate she believed could help the country’s situation. Regine, together with her husband, OPM icon Ogie Alcasid, would express their patriotism through social media posts.
Early this month, as the corruption issue in the anomalous flood control projects blew up, Regine Velasquez also expressed frustration with what is happening in the government.
Through her social media post, Regine expressed anger toward corrupt officials who were not satisfied with all the money they were robbing. “Hindi sila marunong mahiya,” she said in her post.
Just recently, the singer shared a post again regarding the corruption issue in the Philippines. This time, it was something hopeful. Regine was thankful that many people are getting more aware of the situation in the country.
“In fairness padami ng padami nabubuking ang tanong baka naman hangang bukingan lang to ha. Sana wag tayo pumayag na walang mangyari please!!!!!!!!” Regine wrote in her post on X, formerly Twitter.
In the comment section of her post, Regine Velasquez received support from many netizens who were also expecting that something positive would happen and that those who really did wrong would be held accountable.
Meanwhile, last August, Regine held a concert at the Araneta Coliseum with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda. A fan claimed that she was mistreated by Regine’s sister. The Asia’s Songbird defended her sister and said that they had proof, a video, showing that the fan was not mistreated. Other fans of the famous singer rallied behind her and showed support despite that allegation from a fan.
