Former Pinoy Dream Academy contestant Davey Langit has passed away, as confirmed by his wife in a social media post.
Singer-songwriter Davey Langit has passed away, his wife confirmed on October 22, Wednesday. The musician’s wife, Therese Villarante-Langit, shared the sad news in a social media post, as she also paid tribute to him, who lived a good life, saying he “loved life more than anyone I’ve ever met.”

Based on the post, Langit “fought fiercely ’til the very end” until he passed away on Tuesday, October 21. Earlier, it was revealed that the late musician was diagnosed with a rare spinal infection.
Recalling the life he lived, his wife recalled, “He jumped off 75-meter free falls, rode the most frightening roller coasters, savored food, danced goofy, lit up every room with his warmth, his jokes, and loud laughter, and he loved LOVED music and songwriting with such fire.”
Before passing, she assured the followers that he felt so much love from the people who love him, and as his wife, he is thankful for the people who filled his life, until his last breath, with gratitude, community, and hope.
She then went on to reveal the wake details. Her husband’s memorial will be from October 23 to 26 at the Phoenix Memorial Chapels & Crematory in Santa Rosa, Laguna, and at St. Peter Urdaneta from October 27 to 29.
“Thank you for being part of Davey’s life. He loved each and every one of you,” she ended.
Langit’s musical career started after he joined “Pinoy Dream Academy” season 1 in 2006. This is the same edition where Yeng Constantino won. In 2016, his song “Dalawang Letra” won at the Himig Handog P-pop Love Songs.
