A document was shared by a netizen stating that Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista acquired her French citizenship.
Heart has been traveling back and forth of France since she started her career in the fashion industry. The Kapuso actress would always attend the Paris Fashion Week but she skipped this year’s fashion event in France because of negative comments she received following the issue in the anomalous flood control projects, which dragged her husband Senator Chiz Escudero.
Heart has featured her apartment in Paris in her vlogs and social media postings. She even shared the story of how she turned the place into her home away from home.
Netizen @FennelHungry8853 on Reddit, under r/ChikaPH, shared a post stating that a document showed that Heart Evangelista is “of French Nationality.”
“In late 2023, a company named HEARTWORLD SAS was created in France by a woman named Alice LeClair. The official papers at the time show she was the sole owner. She is the company’s President today,” the netizen started.
Then, it was said that in January 2024, a new owner was named. All 1000 shares at 1 euro each were transferred to Love Marie Ongpauco Escudero, Heart’s real name.
The netizen cited that the issue in this case was that the documents filed with the French government stated that Love Marie declared herself a French citizen. The document reportedly had her signature.
With this, the netizen pointed out 4 ways that a person can have French citizenship. “When someone becomes a French citizen (naturalizes), it is published in an official public journal. All naturalizations by decree are indeed published in the Journal officiel de la RĂ©publique française (JORF). It is open to the public,” the netizen stressed.
However, according to the netizen, Love Marie or Heart’s name has no searchable record. Then, the netizen said that there is repercussion when a person had a false declaration.
“There is nothing illegal if a foreigner creates a company or becomes the sole shareholder of a French Company. What is illegal is misrepresenting or lying on government documents,” the netizen pointed out.
As of this writing, Heart Evangelista has not yet spoken about the issue of her supposed French citizenship.
