Winning the Miss Grand International crown for the Philippines has always been a dream for Emma Tiglao. And over the weekend, this dream has become a reality. It also marked a historical back-to-back win for the country in this particular pageant.
Tiglao, as Miss Grand International 2025, has immediately started doing her work and responsibilities as the winner. She just graced a show at the Bangkok International Fashion Week.
Recently, shortly after winning, she started her reign by penning a heartfelt message to the Filipino people who showed their support for her in her journey. Her heart is overflowing with gratitude for the Thai-based pageant organization and the other people who never left her to have this once-in-a-lifetime honor.
In her post, she also did not forget the people who voted for her and helped her in paving the way for the crown and title. She is also grateful to those who stood by her saying their support is proof of how Filipinos can “stand as one nation, one heart, and one voice.”
“Your ‘1 million heart reacts’ were more than just likes; they were symbols of bayanihan, of unity, of love that echoed across the world. You showed everyone what it truly means to stand as one nation, one heart, and one voice,” she said.
She has nothing but love for those who were with her in every challenge and triumph. As much as we all know, before the MGI, she competed at Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012, Binibining Pilipinas 2014, Miss World Philippines 2015, Binibining Pilipinas 2019, and Miss Intercontinental 2019.
Meanwhile, based on the Top 5 Q&A portion, Tiglao’s winning answer was:
“As someone who reports this kind of stories, I really want to use the power of balance, ask people to be educated and aware for us to not be scammed, and the help of the government to enhance their justice system for the scammers to be behind bars, to be accountable. ’Cause one day I hope that we will live in a peaceful, peaceful world where no one should deceive just to survive.”
