“We were going out na before when I was dalaga. He was the Vice Mayor of Makati then, parang I cannot. I won’t be able to keep up. And we’re still as friends until we got to work with each other. He was single, I was single and lock in [taping] ‘yun eh. Sabi ko baka taping thing lang ito, when you’re always together, ganyan. But no, he persisted so mga three months. It was a big adjustment and so I said, sige na nga, why not?” she recounted.

The two stars eventually gave love another chance and stayed together for almost two years. However, Cherry Pie shared that the relationship came to a natural end as both started to reflect on their long-term compatibility. “It was beautiful but somewhere along the way, you know you have to admit, kasi I am not getting any younger and I have to admit, are you seeing this until the finish line or not?” she said.

Despite parting ways, the actress emphasized that there is no bitterness between them. “We saw each other recently. We didn’t talk for about two years… so when I saw him finally, I was so relieved kasi we are still the same… Sabi ko hay salamat, at least wala ng samaan ng loob,” Cherry Pie shared.

When asked if reconciliation could still happen, she responded with honesty: “We will always be there for each other… pero hindi na siguro.”

Cherry Pie also reflected on her outlook on love and fulfillment at this stage in her life. “Before when I was younger siguro but now you find a bigger purpose eh as a woman, as a person,” she explained, adding that motherhood has already completed her. “Maybe I am out there to help people, to be for other, not only to be for one person.”
