PBBM Opens Cash Aid for Pregnant 4Ps Beneficiaries
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. launches the monthly financial aid for pregnant beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
PBBM proudly showed the government’s First 1,000 Days (F1KD) program, which aims to improve the health and nutrition of children and pregnant women who are part of 4Ps.
During his visit to the Kumustahan event for Walang Gutom beneficiaries in Malate, Manila, the President emphasized the importance of proper care during the first 1,000 days of a child’s life from conception until the child turns two years old. He said that this period is important in ensuring a child’s healthy growth and development.

“Meron po tayong iba’t ibang programa para sa feeding, para sa pagpakain. Meron tayong programa na tinatawag ‘First 1,000 Days’. And the first 1,000 days, ang pagbilang niyan it starts from conception,” Marcos said.
Under the program, pregnant women enrolled in 4Ps will receive P350 per month to help them maintain good nutrition for themselves and their babies. The assistance continues until the child reaches two years of age.
“Nagsisimula ‘yung 1,000 days sa pagka nabuntis na ang nanay. So buntis pa lang, nandiyan na ang programang ito,” he added.

The program forms part of the government’s larger effort to combat malnutrition and improve the overall well-being of Filipino families, especially those in vulnerable communities.
The President explained that even before a baby is born, the government wants to make sure that mothers are healthy and have access to proper nutrition. This is because the care and nourishment that both mother and child receive during pregnancy and early childhood have a lasting effect on the child’s future health and potential.
The government hopes to ensure that Filipino children start life strong, healthy, and well-nourished, through the F1KD program. The program aims to show the administration’s continuing commitment to supporting poor families and building a healthier, hunger-free Philippines.
