Awra Briguela Shines Bright as UE’s Hiyas ng Silangan First Runner-Up

Awra Briguela Turns Bullying Into Advocacy in UE’s Hiyas ng Silangan 2025

AWRA BRIGUELA – Comedienne and content creator Awra Briguela once again proved that confidence and courage can outshine any crown as she proudly finished first runner-up in the University of the East’s Hiyas ng Silangan 2025 pageant.

Awra Briguela couldn’t contain her happiness after being named first runner-up in the Hiyas ng Silangan 2025 pageant at the University of the East (UE), marking her first-ever experience joining a beauty competition.

Although she did not take home the crown, Awra proudly considered her finish a major victory. In her Instagram post, she expressed deep gratitude and pride over her achievement, saying, “1st runner up for a first timer not bad at all. I couldn’t be prouder of myself, knowing I only had three days to prepare for this pageant.”

She admitted that joining the competition initially filled her with fear, as she had no prior experience in pageantry. However, Awra shared that her desire to amplify her advocacy motivated her to push through. “Honestly, I was scared at first. I had zero experience in pageantry, but I still chose to join because I wanted my advocacy to be heard, loud and clear, straight from me,” she wrote.

Awra also opened up about the personal struggles she faced, including being the target of bullying and harsh criticism. Instead of letting these experiences break her, she turned them into her advocacy to help others who are victims of bullying.

“I’ve been judged. I’ve been bullied. Yet here I am standing stronger, prouder, and louder,” she declared. “I am living proof that no amount of bullying can silence a brave heart. My advocacy is to stop bullying, both online and offline, because every person deserves to be respected, accepted, and loved.”

Awra Briguela further encouraged others to spread kindness and use their voices to uplift others. “Let’s use our voices not to hurt, but to heal. Together, we can build a world where kindness wins,” she added.

Awra concluded her message with an empowering reminder: “I know what it feels like to be silenced that’s why I now speak for those who can’t. Silencing the bullies starts with speaking up for yourself.”

Though she admitted she initially felt disappointed for not winning the crown, Awra realized that her true purpose in joining was to inspire others and champion her advocacy of self-love and anti-bullying.
