Julia Montes talked about her upcoming project with Coco Martin
Kapamilya actress Julia Montes confirmed that her dream project is coming true with her boyfriend, actor-director Coco Martin.
Julia and Coco, also known as the CocoJul tandem, have worked together on a lot of projects before. Their onscreen partnership became a true love story in real life.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Julia shared that she will be doing a new project with Coco. The official announcement will probably happen next year.
The actress shared that there was already a story, and hopefully, they could start shooting for the project in 2026.
“Dream story namin ‘yun,” Julia Montes said. She also shared during the interview that until now, she and Coco Martin still have that certain feeling of shyness when working with each other.
The actress said that they are very shy with each other, even though they have been together for a long time.
“Nahihirapan ako kapag ka-work siya kasi nga nahihiya talaga ako. Imagine mo nagtititinginan kayo tapos in character,” Julia said. She shared that before, when Coco is doing projects, she would be there as a support.
She would help her when it comes to documents and schedules. Technically, she was like an assistant who would make Coco’s work easier. With this, the actor-director told her to make it an official partnership.
Julia is one of the producers now of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Coco’s primetime series.
When asked what is more challenging, acting or working behind the camera. She said that these are two different things, but for her, the more challenging was acting because she would do scenes with Coco.
“Mas nahihiya ako. Parang mas madali na ako mag-report na lang kaysa ‘yung kaeksensa ko siya. Kinikilig pa rin kasi ako kapag kaeksena ko siya,” the actress shared.
