Alex Gonzaga encountered a problem with her nose implant
Celebrity beauty doctor Vicki Belo explained what happened to the nose implant of actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga.
Alex was one of the celebrities in the Philippine entertainment industry who admitted to going under the knife. She was open about having a nose job. Alex even shared about this on her social media pages and her vlogs.
Then, in July, Alex shared that she had her rhinoplasty removed. She even documented this in a vlog she released on her YouTube channel.

In a recent vlog that Dr. Vicki Belo shared, she featured Alex Gonzaga and explained what happened to the latter’s nose implant, based on the article in Bandera.
Alex shared the time when she first noticed the redness on her nose. “Siguro dahil one time nangulangot ako nang super. Tapos parang after nun, nag-start na siyang mamula,” the actress-vlogger said.
The beauty doctor explained that Alex’s rhinoplasty used Gore-Tex, which has a low chance of rejection compared to silicone. With this, Vicki said that she thought what happened to Alex was not a rejection.
“If you put silicone po sa ilong, mas mataas ang chances mo na mare-reject, I think it’s like 10 to 15%. Pero if it’s Gore-Tex, which is what we used with you, the chances of rejection are like 1 to 2%. It’s very mababa. And in your case, namumula siya, hindi dahil sa rejection,” the beauty doctor explained.

Alex said that she did not feel any pain in her nose. Vicki said that usually, when rejection happens, there is pain because that part is very tender.
With this, the beauty doctor said that what could have started was Alex’s excessive manipulation of the nose, which resulted in inflammation of the tissues around it, and the redness happened. The beauty doctor added that when inflammation happens, neovascularization takes place.
