Sofia Andres donated to the victims of the Cebu earthquake
Actress Sofia Andres extended help to the victims of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Cebu.
Sofia was in Cebu shooting a project when the earthquake happened on the night of September 30. She was terrified, and she panicked at that time.
Despite what happened, Sofia still pushed through with her scheduled engagement in Dumaguete. She just prayed that everything would be okay.
Several celebrities, especially Cebuano stars, expressed sympathy and offered prayers to the earthquake victims. Some extended help, like Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla, who gave out food packs and monetary support. Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza donated P100,000, while Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu bought construction materials to help rebuild homes that were destroyed by the earthquake.
Sofia Andres also extended help. In her recent Facebook post. “In times of great hardship, our hearts must speak louder than fear. The recent earthquake in Cebu has left many families in pain and uncertainty — but together, we can help them rise again,” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Sofia also said that she witnessed how willing the other residents of Cebu were to help the earthquake victims. She pointed out that every gesture of kindness that others show, and even just prayers, are already a big thing.
The actress also encouraged the public to take part or extend help to their fellow Filipinos. She believed that through unity and compassion, rebuilding lives and restoring hope can be achieved.
The post that Sofia Andres shared included photos showing that she gave out boxes of water and food to the earthquake victims.
