Oil Price Update for Tuesday (October 7, 2025)
MIXED FUEL PRICE ADJUSTMENTS – The Department of Energy has released the oil price update for Tuesday (October 7, 2025).
Filipino motorists should prepare for another round of fuel price adjustments next week as diesel and kerosene are set to increase once again, marking the 7th consecutive week of increases.
Here is the list of possible pump price adjustments:
- Gasoline – possible rollback of around P0.05 per liter
- Diesel – possible increase of around P0.50 per liter
- Kerosene – possible increase of around P0.25 per liter

However, the slight rollback in gasoline, may not be felt much by consumers due to additional operating costs that are factored into market prices.
Over the past seven weeks, diesel has already climbed by P5.60 per liter and kerosene by P3.95 per liter. Gasoline has also gone up by more than P3 per liter since late August, despite occasional small rollbacks.
Officials explained that global developments continue to affect local fuel costs. The United States’ renewed sanctions on Iran have tightened supply, driving prices higher, while the expected production increase from OPEC+ is putting some downward pressure.

Traders remain on alert ahead of OPEC’s upcoming meeting, which could affect further price changes.
Industry sources also warned that diesel may increase more than DOE’s forecast, possibly by as much as 80 centavos to P1 per liter. Despite a recent dip in crude oil prices, diesel demand in Asia remains strong because of harvest season needs, refinery maintenance, and Russia’s partial export ban.
Fuel companies are set to announce official price adjustments on Monday (October 6, 2025), with new prices taking effect the following day.
