Here’s the update about Paolo PH and the tropical cyclone wind signals currently in effect.
PAOLO PH – PAGASA released an update about the severe tropical storm and the areas under tropical cyclone wind signal (TCWS).
From the typhoon category, Paolo has weakened into a severe tropical storm, but despite the downgrade, several areas remained under Signal Nos. 1, 2, and 3. To recall, in addition to strong winds, the typhoon was expected to bring heavy rainfall across most of Luzon this Friday, with torrential rains likely in Aurora, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Benguet.

At 4 PM, the severe tropical storm’s center was over the coastal waters of Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, with maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 165 km/h, and a central pressure of 990 hPa. It moves west-northwestward at 35 km/h.

Based on the weather forecast, it will move west northwestward and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow morning, Ocotber 4.
