Cashier, Former Employee, & 2 Others Arrested for Grocery Store Robbery in Quezon City
STAGED ROBBERY – A cashier, former employee and two others were arrested for robbing a grocery store in Quezon City.
On Saturday night, September 27, 2025, police authorities arrested three men and a minor after they staged a robbery at a grocery store in Barangay San Antonio, Quezon City. The group, which included the cashier on duty and a former employee, allegedly worked together to carry out the crime.
Based on the investigation, two men entered the grocery and pointed a gun at the cashier, forcing him to hand over P28,000 in cash. CCTV footage showed a 23-year-old man in black standing in front of the cashier.

After a few moments, a 17-year-old carrying an ice pick joined him. After grabbing the money, the suspects quickly fled.
The incident was immediately reported to Masambong Police Station, which launched a follow-up operation. The first to be caught was a 20-year-old former employee who acted as the lookout.
He later identified his two companions, leading to the arrest of the 23-year-old and the 17-year-old in Barangay Vasra. A replica of a .45 caliber pistol was recovered, along with P13,000 of the stolen cash.

Further investigation revealed a shocking twist—the 21-year-old cashier who was on duty that night was the alleged mastermind. Police said he had sent a message to the group, telling them when to enter.
All suspects admitted their involvement, with some pointing to financial struggles as their reason for joining the crime.
The three men are now detained at the Masambong Police Station’s custodial facility, while the 17-year-old has been turned over to Bahay Kalinga. The suspects face charges of robbery with violence and violation of the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
