Ben Tulfo had this statement about the son of his brother, Raffy Tulfo
Quezon City Second District Representative Ralph Wendel Tulfo, the son of Senator Raffy Tulfo, is now being criticized for his lavish spending on his bar escapade.
A video of Cong. Ralph went viral just recently. It was because of the PHP6.7 million he paid for two separate nights in a bar in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Based on the article in PEP, this happened in December 2023 during a celebration to welcome the year 2024. The lawmaker shared a video of this on his Instagram story.
In the video, the son of Sen. Raffy Tulfo drank wine from a big bottle and paid millions of dollars. This video resurfaced just recently. Because of this, the Congressman received a massive amount of bashing on social media.
Cong. Ralph did not deny the video, but he stressed that the money was not from the government and that he and his friends had an “ambagan” for that.
Amid this issue, broadcaster Ben Tulfo slammed his nephew on his program Bitag Live. “Nakakalungkot yung apelyidong dinadala namin, sumasablay yung ilan. Nahihiya na po kami. Kaya ikaw, Congressman Ralph, makinig ka, makinig ka!” Ben said.
The broadcaster added that the congressman should not aggravate the issue and that he should listen very carefully. Ben also said that he cares about his nephew, and he is concerned about Cong. Ralph’s future.
For the broadcaster, the lawmaker can still go places. “Lahat tayo nagkakamali, nagkakasala, pero binibigyan tayo na magbago because we are entitled for a chance,” he said.
Ben also acknowledged that Cong. Ralph apologized for this, but the broadcaster stressed that this should come with sincerity and accountability. He added that this incident should not happen again.
The broadcaster also said that his nephew should not follow in the footsteps of “trapo” or traditional politicians.” Ben stressed that the son of Raffy Tulfo should stand by his principles. “At sa tamang landas ng uncle mong si Bitag!” he added.
Ben Tulfo also had a message for his siblings. “Mga kapatid ko, ayusin ninyo. Ayusin ninyo, anak ninyo yan,” he said, adding that he hoped their name would not be tarnished again because of some issues.
