Is it true that Alexa Miro is no longer part of this MMFF entry?
Rumor has it that actress Alexa Miro was replaced by actress Andrea Brillantes in the movie Rekonek, one of the official entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025.
Alexa is one of the trending celebrities these past days, and it was because of her revelation in her livestream about her past with Congressman Sandro Marcos. She said that they had been together as a couple for five years.
However, Alexa said that she was told to hide their relationship. In an interview after that revelation, the actress explained that she did not have bad intentions in spilling her past with Sandro. She said that it was for her safety and that she still loves him.
Amid the issue, it was rumored that Alexa Miro is no longer included in the MMFF entry under Reality MM Studios.
Based on the article in Abante, Andrea Brillantes will replace Alexa in Rekonek, which was one of the first four announced entries in the annual film festival.
When it was announced last July 2025 at the Ayala Malls Glorietta, the four main cast members were introduced: Carmina Villarroel, Zoren Legaspi, Gerald Anderson, and Alexa Miro.
Abante entertainment writer Ogie Rodriguez shared that at that time, the impression that Alexa is “malakas” to MMFF circulated. It was because she was also part of the MMFF entry, Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital, last year.
