Actor Albie Casiño slammed fashion designer Ellis Co, the son of Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co.
The congressman reportedly flew to Spain after it was reported that he was in Singapore. Amid the allegations that he is involved in anomalous flood control projects, the lawmaker was able to travel abroad.
Former Bulacan First District engineer of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Henry Alcantara, cited Zaldy Co as one of the politicians who received kickbacks from the flood control projects.
Regarding this issue, Ellis Co released a statement through his Instagram post. He expressed that he sympathized with the sentiments of the Filipinos.
He pointed out that even though he was born with privilege because of his last name, he tries not to stick with it, and stressed that he moved out of his parents’ house and worked on his own.
Ellis also said that he condemns corruption, and he is not invalidating the hate that the people are expressing because of what is happening in the country. He also wishes for the truth to come out.
In his post, Ellis also explained how his business or brand started. He also had a message for his father. “To my father, come home and answer to the people. Have your time in court. People need answers,” Ellis said.
