Kim Chiu had this fiery statement against Sen. Marcoleta
Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu deleted her post on X, formerly Twitter, about Senator Rodante Marcoleta.
Kim is one of the homegrown talents of ABS-CBN. She rose to fame after she was hailed as the Big Winner in the first teen edition of the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother.
The actress was one of the Kapamilya stars who fervently fought for their home network when Congress denied its franchise renewal.
Kim Chiu received a massive amount of bashing at that time, especially when she had her “bawal lumabas” statement that went viral.
Despite the bashing, Kim used that incident to her advantage. She even released her Bawal Lumabas song and had her own merch.
Back then, Sen. Rodante Marcoleta was one of the proponents of the move not to give ABS-CBN its right to renew the franchise. The lawmaker is a known ally of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
On Tuesday, September 23, during the Senate inquiry on anomalous flood control projects, Marcoleta had a heated argument with Senator Ping Lacson. Apparently, this was the reason for Kim’s now-deleted post.
Reddit user @DefiantAnalyst0792 shared a screenshot of Kim’s deleted post. “Marcoleta woke up and chose âŚâŚâŚ. he is always angry, always picking a fight,” Kim wrote.
The It’s Showtime host also pointed out that this was how Marcoleta was acting when he pushed for ABS-CBN’s shutdown. For the actress, this is frustrating and heartbreaking that the “darkness” is playing out again.
“As a citizen, I can only hope and prayâby the grace of Godâthat this time accountability wins,” she said, adding that the guilty face justice. The actress said that this is already enough for lies and abuse. “It’s time for the darkness to end,” he said.
Netizens thought that Kim Chiu deleted her post, maybe because she was thinking that she would be bashed again by the supporters of Marcoleta and Duterte.
